War Wagon is the individual we anticipated making when we decided to use Warfare on the best gilt we've bred to date. He was the fastest blooming baby out of a great litter of 12 pigs from which we sold 4 barrows at The Entourage Pig Sale and 5 barrows off the farm for an average of $2,640 when they were 6-7 weeks old. Most importantly, his appetite and consumption is like we all hope show barrows and gilts would have, and his fleshing ability is unparalleled. He combines the square build and extra stout features of Warfare, while having great rib shape. He's monster bodied, soft made, and as flexible as we've seen. We love this guy's hip design and bulky look, and all who have seen him comment on his huge bone, massive blade, and how much power he has from behind. We did not offer him to sell because we felt like he was invaluable in our herd as we sincerely believe he will produce highly saleable pigs that are as easy to feed and possesses the extras to be named the Champion!

We are very excited to add another great Warfare son to lineup here at Mason Livestock. War Party is absolutely one of the biggest chested, boldest bladed, square built boars we've seen. He comes out of his shoulder and still has the back shape, loin edge, and power on top of a great show barrow. War Party has a HUGE forearm and foot and great curve and shape to his rib cage. When Dan came to the house to see War Wagon, he mentioned that he had a boar that would be different than War Wagon, but still offer the same build, look, and stoutness that has made Warfares so dominant. We were really not looking for another boar at the time, but when we finally saw War Party, we agreed, he provided another set of positives we could really build off of here and allow us to cover a different set of females than we did with War Wagon. War Party is a littermate to Nuclear War at Kyle Stephens that has done a great job already for him and we anticipate War Party to really have an impact here. Thanks to Dan for allowing us the opportunity to utilize this intriguing sire and for us to be able to share him with others.
