We at Mason Livestock wholeheartedly believe in the junior livestock show industry, as we are “products” of the program.
Both of us know that every livestock project has a kid attached to it; therefore, we will treat every customer with the respect that so many producers have shown us. We also believe that there is no better developmental activity available to youth today…one that promotes competition, family, and values. Therefore, we want you to have a good show experience and will work with you in any way, not only in the selection process, but also in management, feeding, showmanship, and grooming help after the sale. Even though we can’t guarantee a champion, we will always stand behind our animals, and believe that the only way to do business is with honesty, integrity, and strength of character as our foundation and success will come.
Please give us a call or e-mail us any time we can help. We would like nothing other than to meet your family, be a part of your champion shows career and help you get to the Winner’s Circle. Thank you for viewing our website and interest in our program here at Mason Livestock.

More about Mason Livestock……
Mason Livestock, owned and operated by Kelton and Carrie Mason, is located near Montgomery, Texas. Both
Kelton and Carrie
are Texas A&M University graduates, Class of 2004, each with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Animal Science. Carrie received a
Master’s in Meat Science, as well. Their love of livestock and the show
industry began early, with both being fortunate to have very successful show careers.
Kelton exhibited the Grand Champion Market Hog at Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso; and Reserve Grand Market Hog
at Houston, San Antonio, the Dallas State Fair, El Paso, San Angelo and North American International Livestock
Exposition. In the cattle arena, Carrie exhibited the Grand Champion Steer at Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, and Dallas, also winning Reserve Grand Champion Steer at San Antonio and San Angelo. In addition, Carrie exhibited the Grand Champion Market Hogs at Fort Worth and the North American International Livestock Exposition (same year Kelton won Reserve). |

They both exhibited champion breeding stock at each of the Texas Majors, as well as the National Junior Swine
Spectacular and Junior
National Charolais and Maine Anjou Shows (Carrie). In addition to these accomplishments, they
strived to be the best showman in
their given arenas at the time, and knew the only way was hard work, dedication,
competitive spirit and support from their families.
While at A&M, Kelton and Carrie were both members of the Saddle & Sirloin Club, where Kelton served as President. They
were also
members of the 2002 Meat Judging Team, winning numerous individual and team awards. Kelton’s A&M tenure
is highlighted by his
involvement with the TAMU Livestock Judging Team. He was a member of the 2003 National Champion Livestock Judging Team,
which, at the time, set the all time record score, and was one of only two teams in history to win the Triple Crown (National Barrow
Show, American Royal, and Louisville). As a member of the team, he was High Point Individual Overall at the American Royal, 2nd High
Point Individual Overall at the National Barrow Show and International (Louisville), and was the high individual in Swine Reasons at
each of the major Fall Contests. He then
served as the Assistant Coach of the 2004 National Champion Livestock Judging team and
coach of the 2005 Livestock
Judging team that won the National Barrow Show and American Royal.

Kelton, Carrie and Kaden recently relocated to Montgomery, Texas, near Houston. Together they manage a show pig and small show cattle operation. Mason
Livestock is a highly focused operation that is geared to producing the highest quality show pigs available. Their passion
is to generate the most competitive stock at all levels; however, with the intense selection on quality the numbers have
not gotten large, but large enough to meet any of your goals, price range, and specific show needs. Kelton and Carrie also
pull from their many years creating connections in the industry to find projects for elect customers on an order basis. In
addition to the main segment of the operation, Kelton and Carrie have a small number of club calf cows maintained at
Rash Livestock in Willis, Texas. On the side, Kelton thoroughly enjoys judging swine and cattle shows across the nation
and has been blessed with the opportunity to sort some of the nation’s most elite shows.
